Description
The Franchise Tax Board (FTB) is seeking information from potential vendors who can provide Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) solutions for suspense payments analysis and refund acceleration. The FTB is looking for a solution that can analyze suspended payment inventory in near real-time, categorize and cluster payments by root cause, recommend corrective actions, and identify payments eligible for immediate refund fast-tracking. The solution should also be able to predict aging risk and interest exposure, reduce manual case handling time, and provide audit-ready documentation of AI recommendations.
• The solution should be able to ingest structured financial transaction data and analyze unstructured case notes and taxpayer correspondence.
• The solution should be able to detect patterns across large volumes of suspense inventory and identify systemic drivers vs. one-off exceptions.
• The solution should be able to recommend viable payment resolution such as application, offset, refund or additional taxpayer outreach.
• The solution should be able to provide confidence scoring with detailed scoring criteria and flag high-dollar or interest-sensitive cases for priority handling.
