Request for Information - Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) and Light-MADIS Optics

The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is seeking information on existing commercially available optics that can be integrated into the Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) Family of Systems (FoS). The optics should have the capability to detect, track, and enable visual identification of aerial threats, as well as the ability to laser designate. The USMC is looking for a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 8/9 optics solution that can be integrated into existing command and control (C2) systems. The optics should be capable of operating in all weather conditions and have a high level of reliability, availability, and maintainability. Some key points to consider are: • The optics should be able to detect, track, and enable identification of commercially available or military Group 1-3 UAS, including fixed wing (FW) and rotary wing (RW), day and night. • The optics should have the ability to laser designate and have a high level of accuracy. • The optics should be capable of operating in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, high humidity, and blowing sand and dust. • The optics should have a high level of reliability, availability, and maintainability, with a low mean time between failures (MTBF) and a high mean time to repair (MTTR). • The optics should be capable of being integrated into existing C2 systems and have a high level of interoperability with other systems.
