Description

The City of Norfolk is seeking a large-scale building wrap solution for its downtown area. The selected contractor will be responsible for designing, printing, fabricating, installing, and removing large-format architectural building wraps. The wraps will be used to maintain a sense of vibrancy during the transition of the MacArthur Mall closure. The contractor must ensure that the materials used are durable, weather-resistant, and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. Some key requirements include: * Material must be rated for outdoor use for a minimum of two years without significant degradation * Resistance to UV radiation, moisture, rain, humidity, wind loads, and temperature fluctuations * High-strength vinyl, mesh banner, or comparable architectural wrap substrate * Tear-resistant and dimensionally stable to prevent sagging or distortion across large spans * Flame-retardant and compliant with all applicable fire safety codes and regulations * Single-sided, high-resolution graphics with a minimum of 720-1440 DPI * Printed using UV-resistant inks * Colorfast and resistant to fading for the full duration of installation * Vibrant, consistent color reproduction across panels * Matte or low-glare finish preferred to reduce reflection on large facades * Seamless or minimally visible panel joins for a cohesive visual presentation * Compatible with secure mounting systems for large skyscraper applications * Engineered to accommodate wind permeability if required * Surface must be easy to clean and resistant to dirt accumulation, mildew, and pollutants * Must maintain structural integrity and visual quality for the full installation period without frequent maintenance
