Pre-Employment/Fitness for Duty Evaluations

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is seeking a qualified company to provide pre-employment and fitness-for-duty evaluations for law enforcement and public safety personnel. The selected company will perform comprehensive psychological evaluations in accordance with applicable professional guidelines and state licensing standards. The initial contract will be for a period of 12 months, with four possible one-year extensions. The company must be able to provide pre-employment psychological screenings, analyze testing results, and prepare written reports. The company must also be able to schedule pre-employment appointments within one calendar week and conduct fitness-for-duty examinations within three business days. • The company must have a licensed psychologist in the State of Colorado who is ABPP (American Board of Professional Psychology) specializing in public safety. • The company must have experience with similar agreements or contracts. • The company must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external Douglas County Sheriff's Office customers and personnel. • The company must be familiar with relevant state and federal statutes and case law, as well as other legal requirements related to employment and personnel practices.
