McAdam Park Improvement Project

The City of Palmdale is seeking a qualified contractor to execute a comprehensive renovation of McAdam Park, encompassing site grading, storm‑water infrastructure, new utility connections, extensive landscaping, a prefabricated restroom/concession building, a new pre‑engineered metal storage building (additive alternate), upgraded sports lighting, parking expansion, pedestrian walkways, a monument sign, and a new baseball field. The scope also includes demolition of existing park structures, erosion‑control BMPs, and compliance with CALGREEN and Title 24 requirements. The project is scheduled for a 250‑working‑day construction period and will be awarded on a competitive electronic IFB basis. • Site work: earthwork, cut‑and‑fill, storm‑water basins, pumps, detention, water & sewer utilities. • Building work: prefabricated restroom/concession (≈1,285 sf), optional metal storage building (≈990 sf), new lighting pole foundations, monument sign, and baseball‑field improvements. • Landscape & irrigation: demolition, new grading, hydroseed, planting, irrigation upgrades, and required erosion‑control measures. • Additional requirements: special inspections (structural steel, concrete, soils, deep foundations), Davis‑Bacon wage compliance, builder’s risk and professional liability insurance, and strict notice periods for inspections.
