Description
The project involves the upgrade of the network switch infrastructure at Clawson High School and Clawson Early Childhood Center. The contractor will be responsible for providing and installing new network switches, power supplies, and other equipment, as well as testing and training the Owner's personnel. The project requires a high level of expertise in network infrastructure and switching systems. Key features of the project include:
* Installation of new network switches and power supplies
* Testing and training of the Owner's personnel
* Compliance with all applicable codes and standards
* Provision of a complete and functional network switch infrastructure
* The project timeline includes a start date of April 1, 2026, and a completion date of August 7, 2026.
* The contractor will be required to work with the Owner to review and implement new access and security rules in the new NSI environment.
* The contractor will also be required to provide a minimum of two hours of instruction and training to the Owner's technology staff on maintenance and troubleshooting for hardware systems.
Some of the key requirements for the contractor include:
* A minimum of five years of experience in the specific application of the equipment and software proposed for these systems
* Adherence to a schedule of working hours that is agreeable with the Owner
* All cables must be routed and managed for a neat and aesthetically pleasing appearance
* Communication bonding and grounding shall be in accordance with the NEC and NFPA
