Emergency Operations Center, Standby Generator Replacement and Installation

The City of Hialeah is seeking bids from qualified contractors for a turn-key power resilience project at the City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and backup 911 call center. The project involves the furnishing, installation, and commissioning of a new 400 kW diesel generator system to replace an existing unit within a dedicated generator room. The contractor will be responsible for safely removing the existing generator and associated transfer switch, providing the new generator, and ensuring reliable, uninterrupted backup power for these mission-critical services in case of a power outage. Key aspects of the project include: • Furnishing and installing a new 400 kW diesel generator system • Removing the existing generator and associated transfer switch • Providing all required switchgear, wiring, and conduit to connect various components to the existing power distribution • Ensuring compliance with structural anchoring standards and NFPA-110 requirements • Performing startup and functional testing, including load bank testing The City is looking for a contractor who can manage all aspects of the installation, from engineering and permitting to certified documentation, and ensure a seamless transition.
