Digital Slide Scanner System

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) is conducting market research to identify capable sources to provide a Digital Slide Scanner system. The system will be used to create digital copies of tissues on glass slides, provide image analysis, and obtain quantitative data from images. The system must meet specific technical requirements, including scanning at 20X and 40X magnifications, providing image resolution of at least 1um/pixel, and having both brightfield and fluorescent capabilities. The contractor will be responsible for delivering and installing the system, providing training, and offering a service agreement for maintenance and repair. Key features of the required system include: • Scanning at 20X and 40X magnifications • Providing image resolution of at least 1um/pixel • Having both brightfield and fluorescent capabilities • Including image analysis software with the ability to quantify stained cell numbers and stained area • Having a slide autoloader capacity of at least fifty (50) slides • Being able to connect to a network server for data storage and software usage
