The US Army is seeking a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) drone. The drone should be a 5-inch class FPV Quadcopter with a 157mm rotor base and 90mm propellers. It should demonstrate stable flight in moderate wind conditions and execute a GPS-Denied Position Hold. The drone should have a multi-sensor payload with an integrated Electro-Optical (EO) and Infrared (IR) camera system with thermal capability. The system should provide for native integration with the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) to disseminate real-time intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) data across the network.
• The drone should have an all-up weight not exceeding 3 pounds.
• The drone should be capable of achieving a flight time of 12 minutes or greater on a single battery.
• The drone should maintain command and control out to a minimum range of 10 kilometers via an express long-range system (LRS) command and control (ELRS C2) link.
• The drone should have an AI-integrated flight computer for advanced autonomous functions and data processing.
• The drone should have a redundant control link with a dual, redundant 915 MHz ExpressLRS (ELRS) Gemini radio control system for link resiliency.
• The drone should have encrypted data/video transmissions with advanced encryption standard (AES) 256-bit encryption over a Digital high definition (HD) link.
• The drone should have a dual-band data/video link capable of operating across both 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz spectrums.
• The Ground Control Station should support a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI)-based output for use with first person view (FPV) goggles and external displays.
