FIRE SHELTERS

The County of Riverside is seeking quotations for fire shelters as specified in this Request for Quote (RFQ). The department requires the exact item identified in the RFQ specifications, and no substitutions or alternate brands will be accepted. All fire shelters must include the required certification and clearly indicate the manufacturing date. The initial order is intended to increase par levels and support the onboarding of newly hired personnel. Test fire shelters will be utilized to support training and certification activities for the Ben Clark Training Center (BCTC), the Volunteer Reserve Fire Fighters (VRFF) program, and other departmental purposes as deemed necessary for certification, training, and replacement needs. • The RFQ includes four types of fire shelters: Regular Fire Shelter (M-2002, 9003050), Large Fire Shelter (M-2002LR, 9003051), Regular Training/Practice Fire Shelter (M-2002TR, 9003020), and Large Training/Practice Fire Shelter (M-2002TRLR, 9003021). • The County reserves the right to reject any or all offers, to waive any discrepancy or technicality, and to split or make the award in any manner determined to be most advantageous to the County. • The period of performance shall be for one year with the option to renew up to four additional one-year periods at the sole discretion of the County of Riverside.
