The Jackson State University is seeking bids for the purchase of a Series 40 Electromechanical Universal Test System. The system should have high-speed low-vibration electromechanical drives, world-class maintenance-free AC servomotor and amp, precision pre-loaded ball screws, and non-clutched drives rated for full speed at maximum force. The system should also have a load cell with TEDS ID, designed for load measurement in tension or compression, overload protection, and high-resolution digital controller delivers high-speed, closed-loop control and data acquisition. The test suite TW software is an integrated solution to design, run, analyze, and report on tests.
• The system should be capable of performing low- to medium-force monotonic testing requirements on specimens ranging from thin film plastics to composites and alloys in tension, compression, and flexure testing.
• The system should have an optional test area enclosure features latched and hinged door with a switch for workstation with a control switch.
• The system should have a Windows 11, 64-bit, 32GB RAM, 2x512GB hard drive, desktop, and a 27-inch LCD monitor.
• The load frame configuration should be 2-column, table-top, integrated, electromechanical.
• The rated force capabilities should be 100 N, 250 N, 500 N, 1 kN, 2.5 kN, 5 kN, 10 kN, 20 kN, 30 kN, 50 kN.
• The test space should be single zone.
• The environmental simulation should be full range of fluid baths.
• The typical specimens should be small components, reinforced plastics, metals, wire, composites, elastomers, wood products, textiles, biomaterials, paper products, adhesives, foam, consumer products.
