Mobile Dehumidification Unit (MDU)

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) is conducting market research to seek sources that can provide or manufacture a Mobile Dehumidification Unit (MDU) for use that meets the requirements outlined in the specifications. The MDU must meet the minimum technical and operational requirements, including airflow, system operation, mobility, storage features, electrical and safety features, power requirements, and more. • The MDU must have a minimum airflow of 300 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of processed air. • The MDU must reduce relative humidity (RH) within aircraft to 30-40% within 1 hour. • The MDU must automatically regulate supplied RH air regardless of ambient temperature and humidity once docked. • The MDU must achieve 30-40% RH for a minimum of 8 hours per day. • The MDU must be mounted on a mobile roll-around pushcart with a handle/handrail. • The MDU must have a maximum dimension of 72 inches (H) x 33 inches (W) x 72 inches (L).
