Notice of Intent to Sole Source with Zurich Instruments, AG for Lock-In Amplifier

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking to procure a lock-in amplifier on a sole source basis with Zurich Instruments, AG. The lock-in amplifier will be used to measure the force acting on standard reference materials (SRMs) for magnetic moment, which is critical for the development of new materials and technologies. The contractor shall deliver one lock-in amplifier, inclusive of warranty and FOB Destination delivery terms. The technical requirements for the lock-in amplifier include a frequency range of DC to 8.5 GHz and a sampling rate of up to 4 Giga-samples/s.
