Description
The City of Flint is seeking a qualified contractor to design‑build a new three‑story, 55‑ft high Chemical Systems Feed Building at the Flint Water Treatment Plant. The scope includes complete civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire‑protection, electrical, and instrumentation design and construction, as well as the installation of hazardous‑chemical storage tanks (sodium hypochlorite, caustic soda, corrosion inhibitor) and associated feed equipment. The project must comply with the 2015 Michigan Building Code, NFPA 13, NFPA 72, NEC 2017, and extensive special‑inspection requirements.
• Full building envelope (foundation, slab, walls, roof) and interior finishes for a hazardous‑occupancy (H‑4) structure.
• Installation of chemical storage tanks, feed pumps, control panels, and associated piping, instrumentation, and safety systems.
• Coordination of all MEP trades, adherence to fire‑sprinkler, fire‑alarm, and special‑inspection protocols, and submission of a quality‑control program.
