Birches Remedial Action, Demolition, And Groundwater Monitoring

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a contractor to perform remedial action, demolition, and groundwater monitoring at the Birches VHF site in Alaska. The project involves removing contaminated soils, demolishing buildings, and monitoring groundwater. The contractor must have experience with similar projects and be certified under the SBA's 8(a) program. The project is expected to be executed in 2026 and/or 2027, and the contractor must coordinate with the FAA Project Engineer and CO. • The contractor must remove all known PCB, lead, and petroleum impacted soils at the Engine Generator Building and transport the soil off-site for treatment or disposal. • The contractor must demolish the Engine Generator Building Concrete Foundation and Electronics Building Concrete Foundation. • The contractor must conduct horizontal and vertical surveys of all groundwater and soil sample locations. • The contractor must obtain the necessary ID for shipping purposes and manifest the waste generated. • The contractor must provide a capability statement and relevant experience on similar projects within the last five years.
