Animas River Trail Segment C Project

The City of Durango, Colorado, is soliciting bids for the reconstruction of the Animas River Trail "Segment C" from Rank Park to Memorial Park. The project involves: 1. Replacing approximately 2700 feet of the Animas River Trail 2. Installing a new bridge and removing an existing one 3. Site improvements, landscaping, and tree protection 4. Third-party testing and traffic control 5. Ensuring a clean and safe jobsite The city is also seeking a separate quote for the installation of approximately 2400 linear feet of 2-inch fiber conduit and associated pull boxes. Key dates: * Mandatory pre-bid conference: January 27, 2026 * Bid submission deadline: March 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM local time * Project commencement: March 12, 2026, or earlier, weather permitting * Project completion: 250 working days from the start date, with a negotiable completion date due to potential long lead items and high water Bidders must: * Attend the mandatory pre-bid conference * Submit bids via the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System website * Provide a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid * Provide a list of subcontractors and ensure they have a City of Durango business license * Demonstrate experience in trades related to the work by providing a list of at least three successfully completed projects of a similar nature The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities when deemed to be in the best interest of the city. The successful bidder will be required to execute an agreement and provide a performance bond and labor and material payment bond within 15 calendar days of receiving the notice of award.
