6640--Anatomic Pathology tracking system

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide an Anatomic Pathology tracking system for the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN. The system must be fully integrated and include all necessary materials and parts. The contractor must provide a brand name system that meets the Government's needs. The system must be able to track Anatomic Pathology tissue specimens from start to finish and interface with other equipment in the Histology lab. The contractor must also provide installation and maintenance services. Key features of the system include: • Ability to create labels at accessioning • Ability to identify and gross tissue specimens at the next station • Ability to send prepared tissue cassettes through the remaining stations • Ability to add blocks at a later time and make extra slides as requested • Ability to interface with other equipment in the Histology lab • Ability to allow for seamless tracking of Anatomic Pathology tissue specimens • Must have current and approved Technical Reference Model (TRM) and Enterprise Risk Analysis Report (ERAR)
