Request For Bids: Taxiway Alpha Reconstruction

The City of Manhattan, Kansas is seeking bids for the reconstruction of Taxiway Alpha at the Manhattan Regional Airport. The project includes the furnishing of all labor and materials, and performing all the work in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The major categories of work include concrete pavement, unclassified excavation, stabilized base, crushed aggregate base course, cement treated subgrade, reinforced concrete pipe, underdrains, lighting, signs, marking, and seeding. The project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended, and the Contractor is required to comply with the wage and labor requirements and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor. • The project is estimated to take several months to complete • The bidder must secure a set of drawings, specifications, and all other contract documents through the online plan room administered by Drexel Technologies • The bidder must submit evidence of competency and evidence of financial responsibility to perform the work to the Owner • The project is subject to the requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation • The Airport Sponsor has established a contract goal of 0.0% participation for small business concerns owned and controlled by qualified disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE)
