Description

The National Institutes of Health, National Human Genome Research Institute, Division of Intramural Research (NHGRI), is seeking humanized single domain antibodies for therapeutic brain delivery. The requirement includes delivery of resulting antibody sequence data, complementary deoxyribonucleic acid clone information, and transfer of project-generated intellectual property and materials to the Government for continued research use. The proposed contractor is Creative Biolabs, which has a proprietary HuVHHL-S2 humanized semi-synthetic single domain antibody library and related proprietary antibody discovery platform. • The HuVHHL-S2 library has a reported size greater than 1.0 × 10¹⁰ and is specifically designed for discovery of humanized antibody binders appropriate for translational research applications. • Antibodies derived from Creative Biolabs discovery libraries have advanced into Phase I and Phase II clinical trials, demonstrating the translational relevance of the platform. • The requirement includes delivery of resulting antibody sequence data, complementary deoxyribonucleic acid clone information, and transfer of project-generated intellectual property and materials to the Government for continued research use.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget amount for this opportunity is not specified in the document. However, based on the complexity of the requirement and the proprietary nature of the HuVHHL-S2 library and the associated antibody discovery platform, the budget amount could be substantial. A possible estimate could be in the range of $500,000 to $5 million, considering the cost of research and development, the value of the intellectual property, and the potential for future applications. The actual budget amount will depend on various factors, including the scope of work, the duration of the project, and the terms of the contract.
