BID 25-66 Backup Generator for Filter Plant

The City of Evanston is seeking bids for the procurement and installation of a Kohler model KG150 natural gas generator at the exterior of the filtration plant's shop dock. The scope of work includes the supply of the generator, provision of necessary parts and installation materials, placement and mounting of the generator, running of a natural gas line, electrical wiring, testing and commissioning, and development of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and training for facility personnel. The contractor will be responsible for all tasks associated with the proper installation and operation of the generator system. • The generator must be a Kohler model KG150 natural gas generator. • The contractor will be responsible for all necessary labor, tools, equipment, and materials to complete the work. • The work must be in compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards. • The contractor will provide a brief training or orientation session for facility personnel on generator use and safety. • Site cleanup and restoration are required upon completion.
