Prescription (Rx) Safety Glasses Eyewear Services - Washington, DC Currency Facility

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking a contractor to provide prescription safety glasses eyewear services to its employees at the Washington, DC Currency Facility. The contractor will be required to visit the facility eight to nine times per year to provide comprehensive optical services, including eye exams (excluding eye examinations), and manufacture prescription safety eyewear according to employee specifications. The contractor must provide a wide variety of frames in multiple styles and colors for on-site fitting and ensure that all eyewear meets the requirements for prescription safety eyewear identified in ANSI Z87.1-2020. The contractor will also be responsible for providing professional consultation on the type and proper fit of eyewear and its applicability to protect against eye hazards in the employee's daily workplace. • The contractor must have an ABO/NCLE certified optician and a licensed optician with at least two years of experience. • The contractor must provide a selection of styles and sizes of Rx safety eyewear to fit a diverse workforce. • The contractor must comply with all requirements outlined in the DCF EHS Policies and Procedures. • The contractor must provide an environment for selecting safety eyewear that is free from hazards.
