Description

The City of Raleigh is seeking bids for the Pullen Arts Center Noise Attenuation project. The project consists of providing new supply duct, VAV terminals, and silencers to minimize noise. There are also two alternate bids: one to replace the fan section of the existing JCI AHU with a new fan with less noise, and another to replace the 22x22 exhaust drop from EF-7 in the Pottery Room with lines 22x22 inside a clear plenum. The successful bidder must be licensed to perform the work in North Carolina and must provide evidence of registration to do work with the City of Raleigh. The City encourages participation from certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) businesses. Some key points to consider: • The project requires a bid security of 5% of the bid amount • The successful bidder must be registered to do work with the City of Raleigh • The City encourages participation from certified MWBE businesses • The project has a goal of contracting or sub-contracting 15% of the contract amount to certified MWBEs

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this project can be estimated based on the scope of work, which includes providing new supply duct, VAV terminals, and silencers to minimize noise, as well as two alternate bids. The cost of these services can vary widely depending on the complexity of the project, the materials used, and the labor costs. However, considering the project's goal of minimizing noise at the Pullen Arts Center, a rough estimate for the budget could be between $200,000 and $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will require significant construction work, including the installation of new ducts, terminals, and silencers, as well as potential modifications to the existing HVAC system. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the size of the center, the type of materials used, and the complexity of the work required.
