Park Custodial Services

The City of West Des Moines is seeking a qualified contractor to provide park custodial services for restrooms, shelters, trails, athletic complexes, and other park facilities throughout the city's park system. The contractor will be responsible for daily cleaning of restrooms, shelters, and high-use park facilities, as well as emptying trash receptacles and performing other related tasks. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site walk will be held on January 9, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at Raccoon River Park – Nature Lodge. The site walk will include representative restrooms, shelters, and high-use park facilities. • The contract will require the contractor to provide services from April 1st to November 15th, and from April 15th to October 15th for certain facilities. • The contractor will be required to clean restrooms, shelters, and high-use park facilities on a daily basis. • The contractor will be responsible for emptying trash receptacles and performing other related tasks. • The city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive irregularities, and award in the best interest of the city.
