Hill Street Water Main Replacement Project

The Town of Tewksbury, Massachusetts is seeking bids for the Hill Street Water Main Replacement Project. The project involves replacing approximately 1,870 feet of existing 6” asbestos cement (AC) and cast iron (CI) water main on Hill Street with new 8” ductile-iron (DI) water main. The work includes transferring existing water services, replacing existing hydrants, and connecting existing lateral water mains. The estimated value of the project is $1,001,520.00. The successful bidder must furnish 100 percent Construction Performance Bond and 100 percent Construction Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. The contract time for the project shall be 60 calendar days commencing 10 days following the effective date of the Agreement. • The project requires MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as Sewer & Water. • The project is subject to Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws. • The successful bidder must certify that all employees to be employed at the worksite will have successfully completed a course in construction safety and health approved by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. • The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
