Prequalification for Supplies for the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office Jail

The City of Norfolk is seeking prequalification for supplies for the Norfolk City Jail. The supplies include janitorial, hygiene, clothing, and linens products for the inmate population and jail facilities. The City plans to award contracts to multiple contractors under the Invitation for Bids (IFB) process. The contracts will be for a five-year term and will only be awarded for products preapproved under this Request for Prequalification. • The full list of supplies is provided in Attachment H. • Applicants must submit product information, product information sheets, and safety data sheets. • Product samples must be pre-approved by the Norfolk Sheriff's Office (NSO) unless the brand-named product is already specified in Attachment H. • The City encourages small businesses and businesses owned by women and minorities and disabled veterans to compete and encourages non-minority firms to provide for the participation of small businesses and businesses owned by women and minorities through subcontracting, partnerships, joint ventures, and other contractual opportunities.
