Description
The Maryland Department of Health's State Anatomy Board is seeking a vendor to provide a professional telephone answering service. The service will be responsible for maintaining a 24-hour communication network to fulfill the Board's time-sensitive activities. The contractor will provide coverage between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and all day on weekends and holidays. The service will receive incoming death notifications and calls, and will notify the designated mortuary transport services to initiate the removal of decedent bodies. The contractor will also provide general information and program inquiries to the public.
Some key points to consider:
• The contract will be a fixed-price contract with a firm fixed monthly rate.
• The contractor will be required to provide voice recordings of phone conversations if requested by the Board.
• The contractor will be responsible for transmitting all recorded death information and written communications to the Board via fax and email.
• The contractor will be required to provide a monthly invoice for services rendered, with payment to be made by credit card.
