Budget estimate

$5,000,000 – $20,000,000

Given the complexity of the tasks and the requirements for the contractor, it is estimated that the budget for this contract could be substantial. The contract will require the contractor to conduct preclinical pharmacological evaluations of potential therapeutic agents, which can be a costly and time-consuming process. Additionally, the contractor will be required to perform human-based and ancillary studies, which can also be expensive. The average annual healthcare spending for epilepsy is approximately $25 billion, and the NINDS has a significant budget for research and development. Therefore, it is estimated that the budget for this contract could be in the range of $5 million to $20 million per year, depending on the scope of work and the number of option periods exercised.
