Description
The Evesham Township School District is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive preschool student transportation for the 2026‑2027 school year. The contract covers provision of school‑bus‑type vehicles, qualified drivers and aides, required equipment (radios, GPS, surveillance cameras, signage), insurance, bonding, and ongoing administrative reporting. The work begins September 1 2026 and runs through June 30 2027, with monthly invoicing and strict performance‑penalty provisions.
• Provide bus service for all preschool students (public and private), school staff, and aides; no other passengers permitted.
• Supply and maintain school‑bus‑type vehicles equipped with two‑way radios, GPS tracking, surveillance cameras, “No Smoking” notices, and spare buses for breakdowns.
• Employ CDL‑licensed drivers and vetted aides who meet NJ background‑check, TB‑testing, and drug‑alcohol testing requirements; conduct mandatory safety drills and training.
• Maintain a 12‑mile‑radius office and garage, carry $5 M liability insurance, furnish a 5 % bid bond (max $50 k) and a performance bond equal to the full contract value, and obey extensive reporting, invoicing, and penalty clauses.
• Submit a sealed, original‑signature bid package by June 16 2026 10:15 a.m.; contract award expected within 60 days of opening.
