Seattle Center Monorail Station Reconfiguration Subcontract Bid Package 02.4A Select Demolition

The Seattle Center Monorail Station Reconfiguration project aims to upgrade the existing station to enhance accessibility, operational efficiency, and extend the structure and services. The scope of work includes structural concrete, structural steel, guardrails, transit gates, paint and lead abatement, skylights, fire and life safety, mechanical, electrical, site improvements, earthwork, and wet utility upgrades. The project also includes the repair of corroded steel elements, platform strengthening, guardrail replacement, and extension of the canopy structure for increased protection of the landmarked Monorail trains. Key aspects of the project include: • Structural improvements to the existing station • Throughput improvement with new platform edge gates, ramps, stairs, and seat walls • Coordination with new platform edge gates and other components • Repair and replacement of corroded steel elements and guardrails • Extension of the canopy structure for increased protection of the Monorail trains
