Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a sole-source contract to ChemoMetec, Inc. for annual preventative maintenance and service support for seventeen ChemoMetec NC-202 instruments used in FDA-regulated cell therapy manufacturing operations. The contractor will provide maintenance, calibration, software updates, inspections, troubleshooting, repair support, and technical support to maintain validated operating conditions for the instruments. The services are required to maintain compliance with FDA current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements and ensure uninterrupted patient care.
* The contract is for seventeen NC-202 instruments with specific serial numbers.
* The contractor must provide proprietary tools, software access, and manufacturer-authorized expertise.
* The contract is authorized under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), which permits solicitation from a single source when only one source is reasonably available.
* Capability statements from responsible sources may be submitted, but the determination not to compete the requirement remains solely within the Government's discretion.
