The City of Decatur, GA is soliciting a qualified engineering firm to deliver turnkey design, bid assistance, and construction‑administration services for a municipal microgrid at the Decatur Police Department. The microgrid must integrate a roof‑mounted 170 kW solar PV array, a 250 kW/500 kWh lithium‑ion battery energy storage system, and a DC fast charger for municipal EV fleet use. The scope includes site investigations, load analysis, system sizing, detailed electrical and structural design, utility coordination (Georgia Power), compliance with DOE grant and Buy‑America requirements, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration through commissioning.
