RFP 26-007 - Information Technology (IT) Asset Disposal Services

The Shawnee Mission School District is seeking a qualified vendor to provide Information Technology (IT) Asset Disposal Services. The selected vendor will be responsible for the disposal and recycling of IT assets, including but not limited to, computers, laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices. The vendor will also be responsible for providing remarketing services for the sale of eligible IT assets. The District is looking for a vendor that can provide a secure and environmentally responsible solution for the disposal of IT assets. The vendor will be required to provide documentation and reporting on the disposal of IT assets, including the make, model, and serial number of each device, as well as the disposition of each device. The vendor will also be required to provide certificates and detailed audit reports documenting R2v3 (Responsible Recycling Standard Version 3) Certification. Some key points to consider: • The District has approximately 50 sites that will periodically require ITAD services throughout the year. • The District conducts periodic hardware refreshes, with the next hardware refresh scheduled to be completed between June 1, 2026, and mid-to-late August, 2026. • The District is looking for a vendor that can provide a secure and environmentally responsible solution for the disposal of IT assets. • The vendor will be required to provide documentation and reporting on the disposal of IT assets.
