The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is seeking bids from prequalified contractors for the construction of a new Health Sciences Center. The project includes a 3-story, 75,000-square-foot building with a steel framing system, concrete/metal deck floor slabs, and a slab-on-grade first floor. The facility will feature classrooms, labs, and study spaces, as well as an Optometry and Occupational Therapy Clinics, administration office spaces, and a food service component. • The project has a Historically Underutilized Business Program (HUB) goal of 30%. • Metcon strongly encourages minority subcontractors to participate in this project. • The bid packages include General Trades, Final Cleaning, Turkey Masonry, Ornamental Metals, and other specialties. • The bid deadline is May 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM, and a virtual bid opening will be held via Zoom. • A pre-bid meeting will be held on April 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM, to address project-specific questions and bidding procedures.
