POC Glucose Analyzers

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide a point-of-care glucose test system, including reagents, consumables, and meter warranty, for use in the hospital setting. The system must be FDA-approved as "CLIA waived" and meet specific requirements, such as having a test time of 6 seconds or less and a sample volume of 2 microliters or less. The contract will be for a base period of one year, with four option periods. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary equipment, including glucose meters and test strips, and to ensure that the system is compatible with the Medical Center's RALS virtual server. • The point-of-care glucose test system must be FDA-approved for hospital use and for use on critically ill patients. • The system must have the ability to manually enter at least 30 other tests through a manual test entry on each meter. • The system must have quality control and operator lockout to prevent unauthorized use and test performance when quality control has not been performed. • The test time should be 6 seconds or less. • The sample volume must be 2 microliters or less.
