Hazardous Waste Removal, Disposal, and Recycling at Diego Garcia

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is seeking a company to remove and dispose of hazardous and recyclable wastes from the US military base at Diego Garcia. The awarded company will be responsible for identifying preferred waste disposal and recycling facilities, preparing necessary documents, packaging and transporting the wastes, and ensuring that all wastes are properly disposed of or recycled. The company must be qualified and credentialed to handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste at both the loading and unloading locations. • The contract will be for a 5-year period with a 30-month base period and a 30-month option period. • The company will need to provide initial packaging services to place waste in UN rated drums and other containers. • The company will need to transport the wastes to the US or EU for disposal/recycling. • The company will need to provide supporting documentation to certify tracking of waste and completion of work.
