Description
The City of Salina is seeking a contractor to demolish the existing scale house and truck scale, then construct a new 12‑ft‑wide scale house with two NTEP‑certified truck scales, an ICC‑500 storm shelter, associated MEP systems, site grading, pavement, fencing, and a septic system. The scope includes earthwork, temporary access roads, utility coordination, landscaping of borrow areas, and full waste management at no charge to the City. The contract also requires provision of a 26‑ft approach slab for a separate utility garage, traffic control, and security fencing throughout construction.
• Demolition of existing scale house and disposal of waste (scaled).
• New building with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and storm‑shelter components.
• Installation of two 50‑ton NTEP‑certified truck scales, including foundations, load cells, and checking systems.
• Site work: earthwork, borrow‑area top‑soil/seed, temporary and permanent roads, drainage, fencing (4,440 LF), gates, and landscaping.
