Description
The City of Cincinnati is seeking a design-build contractor to modernize three existing elevators, including two passenger elevators and one freight elevator. The selected contractor will be responsible for assessing the existing conditions of the elevators, providing complete architectural, engineering, and construction services to modernize the elevators, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The project includes renovation of the cabs' interiors, replacement and upgrade of various mechanical and electrical components and systems, and completion of the work in a reasonable timeframe with minimal disruption to building operations.
Key aspects of the project include:
* Assessing and troubleshooting the elevators to determine necessary repairs, replacements, and upgrades
* Providing job cost estimates and drawings and specifications at all required phases
* Coordinating permits and inspections, and developing a construction schedule
* Ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, and delivering high-quality workmanship
* Protecting historical elements of City Hall during construction
