Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from contractors who can provide professional laser etching services for reusable medical instruments. The services will include applying unique device identifiers and ensuring permanent, legible, and machine-readable markings compatible with the instrument tracking system. The contractor will work in the Sterile Processing Service at the Veteran Affairs Central California Health Care System in Fresno, CA. The period of performance is not to exceed 90 days.
• The contractor will provide professional laser etching services on SPS and Surgery instruments.
• The contractor will ensure permanent, legible, and machine-readable markings compatible with the instrument tracking system.
• The contractor will improve accuracy by reviewing and reconciling existing markings and eliminating duplicates.
• The contractor will remove and reapply marks that are not detected or mis-scanning, using approved Class 1 laser technology.
