The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a contractor to provide tree trimming services at the UPP VOR site in Hawaii. The contractor will be responsible for trimming trees quarterly, removing shrubs, grass, and other vegetation, or obstructions surrounding the UPP VOR antenna to prevent interference of the radiated signal from the antenna. The work will be performed over a period of 5 years, with the option to extend the contract. The contractor must have an active SAM registration and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The FAA reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer.
* The contractor will be required to trim trees up to 60 feet tall and remove vegetation and obstructions within a 350-foot radius of the VOR antenna.
* The contractor must be aware of the Hawaiian Hawks habitat close to the UPP VOR site and schedule work to avoid the mating period.
* The contractor will be required to provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and other services needed to perform the work.
* The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental protection and worker safety.
