Average Annual Daily Traffic - Data Collection

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for creating a railroad bridge database. The objective is to acquire Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) data for active highway-rail grade crossings across the United States. The contractor will provide AADT data, including type of vehicle, vehicle speed, and time-of-day traffic, in CSV files. The FRA will provide latitude/longitude coordinates of each active highway-rail grade crossing. • The contractor must have the necessary resources to provide up-to-date AADT data. • The AADT data will be used to update mission-critical tools, including the grade crossing accident prediction system (GXAPS). • The contractor must deliver the required data within 4-6 weeks of the contract effective date. • The FRA will provide the latitude/longitude coordinates of each active highway-rail grade crossing within 2-4 weeks of the contract effective date.
