Description
The City of Elizabeth City is seeking bids for the Causeway Park Restoration project. The project involves removing the existing boardwalk and platform structures, rebuilding the boardwalk, and adding new features such as a floating kayak launch. The project is being funded by the NC Division of Coastal Management and must be completed by October 31, 2026.
• The base bid includes removing the existing approximately 910 LF boardwalk and 4 uncovered platform structures.
• The base bid includes rebuilding back approximately 685 LF of boardwalk and 3 platform structures.
• The base bid includes redefining the extents of the existing parking lot with a fresh layer of gravel and timber fencing.
• The base bid includes adding 2 paved handicap accessible parking spots.
• The base bid includes adding a floating kayak launch to 1 of the platform structures.
