Notice of intent to sole source Genetic Analyzer system

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) intends to award a sole-source contract to Life Technologies Corporation for the purchase, delivery, installation, and extended warranty of a Life Technologies Applied Biosystems SeqStudio 24 Flex Genetic Analyzer system. The system must meet specific technical specifications, including a 24-capillary electrophoresis system, solid-state laser, advanced thermal system, and integrated touchscreen computer. The contract also includes installation, training, and extended warranty services. The system will be used by the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System DNA Operations. • The system must be compatible with Windows 11 and include specific software, such as GeneMapper ID-X v1.7. • The system must meet ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and ISO-17025 standards. • The system must utilize Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to track key consumables. • The vendor must provide on-site training for laboratory operators. • The vendor must provide a one-year manufacturer's warranty covering all parts, labor, and travel.
