6525--Tx/Rx CP Head Coil Notice of Intent to Sole Source

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Tx/Rx CP Head Coil for the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. The coil is required for patients with implants and will be used for head proton imaging and brain spectroscopy. The coil must be compatible with Siemens Aera Software and machine, and have an open patient-friendly design with integrated preamplifiers. The contractor will be responsible for delivering the coil to the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System within 60 days of contract award. • The coil must be circularly polarized with no coil tuning. • The coil must have an upper part that is removable and can be fitted with a mirror. • The coil must have displaceable cushions for patient comfort and stabilization of the head. • The contractor must confirm connectivity with the coil and sync with the software.
