Description
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (AL DCNR) is seeking a qualified contractor to perform vegetation removal and mulching on approximately 43 acres of the Swan Creek Wildlife Management Area. The work consists of felling invasive trees and shrubs, grinding stumps flush with the ground, and leaving all mulched material on‑site to improve small‑game habitat. The contractor must provide at least one low‑ground‑pressure tracked mulching machine, follow AL DCNR’s sequencing (east‑to‑west), protect pre‑marked desirable trees, and repair any road damage caused during operations. Completion is required by September 30 2026, and payment will be based on the acreage actually treated, not to exceed the bid amount.
