Construction Management Services for the EMTS NTC Lab Remodel & NTC Lab Solar Implementation

The City of San Diego is seeking a Construction Management Services Consultant team to support the Engineering & Capital Projects Department for the EMTS NTC Lab Remodel and NTC Lab Solar Implementation project. The project aims to upgrade and remodel office and laboratory spaces to meet the State of California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) standards. The scope of work includes constructing a new Ocean Operations lab building, installing a photovoltaic (PV) system, and renovating the existing lab building. The estimated construction cost is approximately $30 million, and the project delivery method is design-bid-build. • The project requires experience in construction management, laboratory and life science construction, and phased construction. • The consultant team should have experience with formal partnering and conflict resolution. • The project includes relocating staff to temporary trailers during construction and ensuring the facility remains operational. • The City encourages proposers to take positive steps to diversify and expand their subconsultant solicitation base. • The proposal should include a technical proposal, experience and technical competence, proposed method to accomplish the work, and knowledge and understanding of the local environment.
