Description
The South Brunswick Board of Education is seeking a qualified transportation provider to deliver out‑of‑district student‑transportation services for a vocational‑school route for the 2026‑2027 school year. The contractor must supply a 16‑passenger National school bus (2012 or newer) equipped with required safety and monitoring technology, a qualified driver (and backup driver) and, where required, a transportation aide. Bidding is on a per‑diem basis with mandatory bid and performance bonds, comprehensive insurance, and numerous compliance certifications (background checks, affirmative‑action, political‑contribution, Iran/Russia‑Belarus disclosures). The contract runs from 1 Sept 2026 to 30 June 2027, with monthly invoicing and penalties for late arrivals, accidents, or non‑compliance.
• Provide dedicated 16‑passenger school bus meeting equipment requirements (radio, GPS, video/audio, child‑alert, seat belts, sensors).
• Supply qualified driver(s) with NJ CDL “P” and “S” endorsements and, if needed, a transportation aide on a per‑day rate.
• Maintain extensive records, background‑check files, insurance, and surety bonds; submit bi‑annual vehicle inspections and adhere to strict reporting deadlines.
• Submit a sealed bid by 22 July 2026, including all required certifications, bid guarantee (up to $50,000), and performance bond equal to the annual contract amount.
