Description
The Town of Boonsboro is seeking consultant services to design approximately 5,100 feet of new and upgraded sidewalks leading to the Boonsboro schools complex. The scope of work includes final design services, surveying, environmental inventory and assessment, design, geotechnical investigations, utility designation, permit and plan approval, and administration. The contract will not exceed five years, and the total funding authority is $940,460. The consultant must have experience in roadway and transportation design, surveying, and environmental permitting.
• The consultant will be responsible for performing topographic survey data collection, obtaining environmental permitting approvals, and designing structural drawings and specifications.
• The consultant will also be responsible for preparing digital presentation materials, specifications booklets, and temporary traffic control and maintenance of traffic plans.
• The consultant must have a professional engineer (PE) registered in the State of Maryland with a minimum of ten years of experience performing roadway and transportation design work.
• The consultant must also have a Maryland Registered Professional Land Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years of experience surveying and mapping.
• The consultant will be required to supply all tools and equipment necessary to perform the scope of work.
