Description
The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs (FDVA) seeks a qualified contractor to replace Boiler #2 at the Emory L. Bennett State Veterans’ Nursing Home in Daytona Beach, FL. The scope includes removal of the existing H.B. Smith Series boiler, installation of a new Lochinvar copper‑fin gas boiler (Model CHN2072‑M13), reconnection of flue and water piping, electrical wiring, insulation replacement, leak testing, system startup, staff training, waste disposal, and one annual inspection. Work must be completed within 120 calendar days of contract execution, with no option for renewal.
• Remove existing H.B. Smith Series 28A‑8 boiler and associated piping.
• Install new Lochinvar M# CHN2072‑M13 copper‑fin gas boiler.
• Re‑connect flue gas, water, and electrical systems; replace pipe insulation.
• Perform leak checks, start‑up procedures, and system commissioning.
• Provide on‑site staff training and proper disposal of all waste.
• Deliver one (1) annual inspection, including testing and repairs as needed.
• Complete all work to FDVA and local authority satisfaction within 120 days.
