The United States Space Force is conducting market research to find potential vendors capable of continuing the work of analysis of rocket launch acoustic through acoustic measurements of launch noise and sonic booms produced by rockets ascents and re-entries. The scope of work includes procurement, development, and deployment of eight acoustic monitoring stations, measurement of launch noise acoustic data, conducting spatial and statistical analysis of measured acoustic data, and conducting simulations using modeling software. The contractor shall provide quarterly reports and presentations to SLD 30 and interagency partners.
• The contractor shall procure, develop, and deploy eight launch acoustic monitoring stations.
• The contractor shall measure lift off noise, ascent sonic booms, and re-entry sonic booms for at least 50 launches.
• The contractor shall analyze all measured launch acoustic data and upload results to SLD 30.
• The contractor shall perform modeling and simulation with PCBoom for various launch trajectories and meteorological conditions.
