Description
The Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center has a requirement for one Brand Name or Equivalent Ameri Shred dual shaft industrial medical waste shredder. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of need, including delivery, installation, and training. The shredder will be used to process various types of medical waste, reducing their size for safe and compliant disposal. The key characteristics of the shredder include a motor capable of 5 HP, 208V 3PH 60HZ, a user-friendly touch screen interface, and automatic reverse. The shredder must meet or exceed regulatory standards for medical waste processing and have a minimum cutting chamber size of 12” x 12”.
• The contractor must deliver and install the shredder within 60 days after the contract is awarded.
• The contractor must provide training to the warehouse staff on using the unit safely.
• The contractor must provide a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty that covers parts and labor.
• The contractor must provide access to customer and technical support for troubleshooting and maintenance needs.
